Ways to Pay

I charge £69 per hour for emergency call out work, pre-booked appointments are also now charged at £69 per hour. This includes any travelling or other expenses incurred whilst coming to your property. Once we have agreed that you need an emergency visit, and you’re happy to go ahead, the hour begins as I cross your threshold, and not before. Most domestic emergency calls can be dealt with or diagnosed within the first hour. Any further work stemming from your original emergency, can then be priced accordingly. Unlike with other certified electricians in Islington you can pay by cash, credit or debit card and paypal.

How to get to in touch

Call me on 07857 942 190. Sometimes, my hands are full on ladders and the like and I might miss your call. If so, leave a message and I’ll call you right back. Alternatively you can leave a message and your number here and I’ll get in touch as soon as possible.

When you get in touch

Once you’ve contacted me, we can discuss your requirements in order to gauge whether or not you actually require a visit. Some gremlins can be dealt with, with a simple explanation over the phone. Should the need require, we can get out to you as soon as possible. This will usually be within an hour once you’re happy to go ahead.

Upon Arrival

Upon arrival at your property, I’ll make myself known to you, via a pre-determined password if required. We’ll then agree the exact time; on your clock; and I’ll quickly and efficiently get to the root of your problem or fault. I’m very aware that you want a quick, efficient service, resulting in your electrical problem solved at a reasonable price.

How I like to work

For me, working simply can not be a chore. I can not effectively pursue a goal unless it’s something I feel passionately about. Being on call out is an exciting prospect as I’m constantly fed new challenges and every now and again, I get the kudos of performing the hero role. Put simply, it is as pure a feeling as any, to be gifted the opportunity to reinstate the power, when a client’s freezer is on the tipping point of meltdown. I’ve been given hugs in these and similar situations. I’ve been lucky enough to have experienced many aspects of the electrical industry, having gained valuable insights along the way. I focus today, on working in houses.

Where and when I trained and for how long

I began working as an apprentice electrician in 1992 in Lancashire for a local contracting company. In 1994, I relocated to London as I heard a rumour the streets were paved with paving slabs. I continued to find work as an electrical improver, enrolling at Turnford campus of the Hertfordshire Regional College in order to gain my City and Guilds qualification. I spent 3 years at college there and continued to gain practical skill and experience whilst working. My experience has been gleaned by working for myself, major companies and local businesses. I am capable in all aspects of electrical installations and design. I have over 18 years of hands on experience in engineering. Not just a light bulb changer then.

Qualifications

In 2001 I completed a 3 year study and received a City and Guilds 2360 qualification in Electrical Installation. Since then I have gained in-house qualifications at Glaxosmithkline for PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and risk assessment and management. I also worked as a multi-skilled engineer, which added a mechanical aspect to my occupational wealth.

Jobs I include

  • Bespoke audio visual installation, including; flat screen television and hi-fi set up.
  • Design and installation of indoor lighting and outdoor lighting.
  • Replacement fuse boards, electrical faults of any kind.
  • Upgrade or replacement of sockets and switches.
  • Periodic electrical inspections.
  • Replacement of damaged switches and sockets, full and partial rewires, hot water systems and boiler controls.
  • 12 volt installations.
  • Solar panels, wind turbines and battery arrays installations.

In short, any and all aspects of your electrical requirements.

I’m always contactable and available before and after any work done and am always happy to return to resolve any other problems you may have.
